维京人（古挪威语：víkingar），别称北欧海盗，他们从公元8世纪到11世纪一直侵扰欧洲沿海和不列颠岛屿，足迹遍及从欧洲大陆至北极广阔疆域，欧洲这一个时期被称为“维京时期”（Viking Age）。
在古英语中，“vikinger”是在海湾中的人，而“wicing”代表海盗；“vikingar”在冰岛的土语中也意味着“海上冒险”。维京人的老家是挪威、丹麦和瑞典，开始只是打劫西欧沿海的修道院，后逐渐对其他欧洲GJ进行有组织的入侵，从爱尔兰到不列颠，从法国到东欧，维京人的身影随处可见，而除了征战，维京人还是伟大的航海家，向西他们逐渐发现了冰岛和格陵兰岛，并zui*终到达北美。向东他们一度到达了里海。
